Associated Community Services (ACS) is a telemarketing firm based in Southfield, Michigan which reportedly filed for bankruptcy & owes more than $15 million in unpaid taxes to the IRS and more than $1 million in unpaid state tax. ACS is owned & operated by Robert W. Burland, Jr. and Richard T. Cole.
ACS has been cited by the Michigan Atty General as being in violation of numerous laws and ACS retains up to 90% of funds received for telemarketing services on behalf numerous charities, including the Foundation for American Veterans. ACS badgers it’s victims repeatedly at all hours with high pressure tactics.
The owners are con artists and should be held account for their activities. I urge you to contact the owners and give them a dose of their own medicine. I’m sure they will be happy to hear from you at any time of the day.:-)
I got a call from this number but did not answer the call. I get so many scammers I check the number before I answer and if I do not know that phone # I don't answer. If I do happen to answer and it sounds like a scam and they are asking for money. I just hang up on them. I am very tired of getting all these scam calls or people asking for money over the phone. It is horrible!! I have even put my phone # on the no call list and I still get the calls.
I get a call from Found Amer. Vets just about 2-3 times a week. Always around 8:30 pm. I do not answer it, but lately have just been taking phone of hook and leaving it off for 2-3 minutes. Probably not a good idea. They never leave a message. Getting tired of these calls. I am sure it is a recording, so wouldn't do any good to tell them off. Is there no way to get them to stop this? I send money to Vet. organizations once a month, when they keep sending me stuff in the mail. Ask them why don't they keep the stuff, and sometimes a $1.00 bill., or a check for $2.50. That money and the things they send cost them (us) money they could use, instead of begging for more. Never get a answer back.
Got the call showing the caller as FOUND AMER VETS at the at 1:33 pm Nov 25. I hung up on them and blocked the number. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry. I have been getting similar jerk calls from VETS NOW with numbers changing every couple of days. My number is unlisted and in the 970 area code.
