Associated Community Services (ACS) is a telemarketing firm based in Southfield, Michigan which reportedly filed for bankruptcy & owes more than $15 million in unpaid taxes to the IRS and more than $1 million in unpaid state tax. ACS is owned & operated by Robert W. Burland, Jr. and Richard T. Cole.
ACS has been cited by the Michigan Atty General as being in violation of numerous laws and ACS retains up to 90% of funds received for telemarketing services on behalf numerous charities, including the Foundation for American Veterans. ACS badgers it’s victims repeatedly at all hours with high pressure tactics.
The owners are con artists and should be held account for their activities. I urge you to contact the owners and give them a dose of their own medicine. I’m sure they will be happy to hear from you at any time of the day.:-)
This number calls frequently right around 8:45 p.m. right as I'm almost asleep. I get up early for work, and I loathe them for calling at that hour. I have considered answering the phone to give them a piece of my mind, but I don't know if it's better to ignore the calls and hope they go away or answer and ask them to go away and hope that they do.
I received a call from 720-403-9498 last night. The caller I.D. said "Found Amer Vets. So I did call them back, but no answer there?
Why they are coaling someone and not taking action?
Repeated calls, 2-3 times a day and day after day. This is the WORST, most scammy telemarketer I have ever dealt with. If they represent a real charity, I pity that charity. I would never give a cent to any group that even remotely sounds like "Found Amer Vets" because of the scumbag telemarketer they use.
Getting frequent calls from 720-403-9498. No called ID...I never answer and they never leave a message. They call twice in the morning and once at night...everyday...so annoying! Just don't answer.
