This number was used by the Elmsford, NY-based collections company "American Medical Collection Agency" (also doing business as "Retrieval Masters Credit Bureau") in an attempt to reach me at a (740) number. Regardless of the legitimacy of the bill they are seeking to collect (sloppy vendor may have lost record of my payment) I find their use of a "local" number questionable. Companies that trade in personal information for a living should be held to a higher standard of transparency than that.
Called my unlisted unpublished number looking for my ex son-in-law, who lives 1000 miles from me. Don't know how they got it, but asked the woman to remove my number from their contact list for him. We will see......
Recv'd a call from this number and indeed it's a bill collector. Refused to ID the company. I just told him that I didn't have time to discuss a "personal business matter" as I was at work & hung up. I'm sure the calls will keep up but they will receive the same response from me each time.
Got a call today from this company wanted to know if I knew a person by the name of......... which is my ex husband's nephew that lives in VA. I live in Ohio? My daughter got the call and the person was very rude. I called them back and told them to remove my number from the call list for this person? I haven't been married to my ex husband for over 13 years?????
they called my son to day and ask for me or my husband.said they tried to call me on a phone number that was disconnected and that we never had. and i haven't done business with anyone in ohio for over 16 years!!!
This company United Recovery Systems has called my son in Ohio and HIS IN-LAWS in Ohio telling them that they are investigators and need to contact me regarding a legal matter. I live in Texas so I do not know how they got their information but they have overstepped their boundaries and I am seeking legal action ASAP!!! They have used these two numbers 740-313-4351 and 800-353-5984.
