Capital One Credit something, wanted to speak with my husband, or if he wasn't available wanted me to verify his DoB. My husband doesn't have an account with CO, and I told her I wasn't verifying anything since they couldn't even get his cell number right. She was not amused.
Like others who have reported this number, I've been called several times. I have never spoken with anyone but their voice mail messages do say that's it's Capital One calling (which I doubt). The messages they've left me have been the same each time and here is the transcript of the messages I've received: "Yes, this message is for David Hernandez. This is Jonathan at capital one David. Call me back at 1 800 270 to 9756 my extension 521-5699. Thank you."
I do not know anyone by the name of Davis Hernandez and the name is totally unlike mine.I do not have cards with Capital One. I do not know anyone in Richmond Virginia, the apparent caller's location. These calls are sham. The best advice I have for others is this: don't answer, don't respond, and if you can, block the calls.
This is not Capital One. It's always best to hang up and call the number on the back of your card or on the website. If you don't have an account ignore the call and don't give out any information.

Caller seems to be a scam. Had my phone over a year and called and said they was calling about my visa. If it was actually capital one it'd be a different person but it's also the same person. I don't have any visa with capital one, who they claim they are.
It's always a Cathy or Chris. They don't sound professional either closer to some junkie with a phone line trying to scam folks out of money with scare tactics. Be aware.
