Same heavy east indian accented woman called my wife today. She could hardly understand her, but she asked about our Windows computer.... The big laugh, we have a Mac! They are up to something....
I just got the call, 3:34pm Pacific and I thought I would Google the number. I was told by a guy that could hardly speak English that he wanted to clean my windows. I asked what windows and he kept saying windows. I asked him if he thought I was stupid and he hung up.
Same as many. There was lots of background noise and a man with a strong accent wanted me to sit down at my computer so he could help me fix a problem with windows. How can I get rid of this?
Next time he calls, play along with him. Pretend you are doing everything he tells you to do. Then, start freaking out--tell him you're computer is smoking, there are sparks flying out of it, you know, play it up!!
Woman with eavy indian accent said she was callen in reference to my computer. I hung up as I am supposedly on a National "DO NOT CALL" list...I then googled the number and found all the info on this being a scam....
