Caller ID was "FINANCIAL CTR". Message left was about: "reducing credit card interest rates to as little as 6% if I owe at least $3000 and one card is in good standing."

The recorded message prompts you to press 1 to speak to a live operator concerning lowering your credit interest rate. I pressed 1 to demand my number no longer be called. The "operator" came on the line and I told him I was going to report this number and unwarranted solicitation to my cell phone to the FTC. He interrupted and said he was recording this call too. I said great. Next, as I tried to ask for my number to be removed from their database, he continued to mumble and then accuse me of stuttering. I reiterated my intent of filling a complaint with the FTC and he interrupted again to ask what that has to do with anything. I then had an opening in this verbal joust and I said please do not call this number any longer I am on the do not call list and this is a cell phone. He hung up somewhere mid-sentence.
This is an outsourced company RACHEL a fake name- HANG UP- DONT answer your phone if you dont know the number- when you BLOCK the call this company will call from another area code. There is NOTHING that can be done- DNC is a joke (why are people getting paid to work there who knows) FCC and FTC wont do anything they run DNC. I have been blocking each number that calls via verizon which is my carrier - they will block only 5 numbers at a time for free- so Im constantly changing the blocked numbers. I dont have a landline phone so these telemarketers call my cell- even at 5 am!!!
