Same here. Fake number, fake name. Didn't leave a message (thank goodness). I never answer these calls as trying to stop them by whatever method just doesn't seem to work.
Fact 1) The DNC list CLEARLY does not work, everyone should knows this by know, it's a government program that doesn't function like all or most programs they generate.
Fact 2) Filing a complaint with the FCC does not work, a total waste of time; done that.
Fact 3) Having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4) Asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5) No "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy. Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.
Fact 6) Complaining to the BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones. They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset, and they work beautifully! These phones also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN
I get the Financial Ctr ID instead of Rhododendron OR. I wonder why there are two different IDs.
I've been getting an ID restricted phone call every other morning on my cell phone at about 8:30. It's interesting that these folks don't even bother to restrict the ID.
Got another recorded call @ 5:54PM on 8/22/12 from the "Infamous" Card Member Services, saying they have sent several notices to me by mail (LIE) and that this is the final notice before they close their books on my account. They can lower my interest to 6% and I must have $3000 debt and an available card. Press "1" to talk to a representative.
So I pressed one to talk to the SCAMMER.
A 'Carrie' came on the phone and asked if "I wanted to lower my credit?"
I said " Yes, definitely." She asked "how much do U have in credit card debt" and I told her " $15,000."
She then asked "What was the largest acct." I told her "It is with Capital One".
I thought she was going to ask another question and then I got "Dead Air" and the dial tone and was disconnected. Not sure what response if any triggered the SCAMMER to disconnect cause I was
one question away from giving her an earful.............will have to "give it to them" after the second question from now on".
I keep getting call from this number and no one is there, their auto dialer keeps calling me on a loop! Seems to be no way to stop the calls. the do not call list is a joke!
