Does any body ever read these complaints? Nobody who can do anythig so far from what I can see. I resigned up for Do Not Call...but I've had it on my phones for years. This is harassment..plain and simple. Thank heaven for Caller ID,
I have received two of these "Cardholder Services" calls today - and it's only noon. The other was from 503-902-8479 ("Rachel from Cardholder Services") just 90 minutes before this one. We're on the Do Not Call registry; I don't understand why this is OK - it's harassment.
poor Texas Pete... you haven't been called by these low-lifes for 7 or 8 years, have you? My own mom thought she "really showed them" by reporting them last week. I hated to burst her bubble too, but reporting does absolutely nothing, many have said it INCREASES the calling! Even though they are spoofing numbers, i'm sure there's some wiz hackers, gov & non gov, out there that could find the head of this tapeworm (& then take/steal their ill-gotten gains) but i guess they've not p.o.ed the right people yet. if you do an "in depth" search of "card services" scam, you can find the one way to cut out 95% of these spoofing scammers (not just the 'card services' one). it's a PITA but it the only way I've found to keep a "quiet" line. hate to burst your "the gov't is gonna take care of these scammers for me" spirit, but they've not for years & may never since they're probably off-shore. We need to get everyone to send their complaints to John Stossel or something like that if we want the gov't to even BEGIN to try to stop these peeps. Internet phone calling killed the DNC; don't even know why it's still around. Maybe the scammers are hacking it for call lists!
