I put out an ad for baby sitting on craigslist and some lady named Brenda asked for my name and number. She emailed me back with the scam details saying I would take care of her daughter who is new to the country I would need to give them my ssn and other personal iinformation. I knew it was a scam so I didn't. But that number called me today, I didn't answer.
We were on the internet and looking for a loan, we did not realize it was this easy. Well not really, because now we are the victims of identity theft. My finace was approved for a $25000 loan, but we had to pay $950 to secure the loan by wiring the money through Western Union. We fell for it, all the documentation came through email and we printed it off and had to sign and send back along with drivers license and form of income. Jeremy Clark is the one we were dealing with and he supposedly works for Landsborough Capital out of Dallas, TX. When he would contact us the # would come up as a private number, and then after we decided to go to Western Union and wire the money, he said to go to our vehicle after we got the form that way others could not hear us giving our information over the phone. So we fell for it, went to our car and he gave us the information to put down which includes Chris Lee who would be receiving the funds in British Columbia, Canada. Jeremy also stated that when we went back in to the Western Union office to tell them that this is a personal loan and we are tranferring the money to friend or relative, that way our funds would be in our account within 1-3 hours after he received the confirmation #. We also had to give our routing # and checking acct. #, which we found out was really stupid. Well we did get that far, until Jeremy decided to call back and the #347-562-2648 showed up on caller id. My fiance decided to google the number, thank god for google, we were able to stop the transfer at Western Union and we did get our money back. But our identity is another story that we are working on, we have contacted our local authorities and we hope that Jeremy or whoever you are we be caught and pay for what you are doing to people. GET A REAL JOB and LEAVE INNOCENT PEOPLE ALONE!!
I also got a call from 347-562-2648 , they sais i was approved for a 40k loan, that i applied for, on 5/31 i didnt even use my computer this weekend, i asked them to provide something with their name on it , fax , email, he said they s=dont =wok that way, i need to send them my ss# driver# and paystubs,
i knew it was a scan so i played also, taking theit fax, and prending to send all doce, i kept them on the phone olding for like 2 hours asking them to check their fax, chexk their fax, becausr i sent them docs.
they gave uo after i put y son on the phone to sing happy -b ay to HIS COUSIN. he doesn even hacve a cousin, funny [***].
