We are US Bank customers. We have received a call from this number I think the last two days back to back at dinner time. I saw where here it says about offering a credit card. Since we don't want it I called US Bank's 800 number to ask to be removed from the phone calls. I was told this 201 number is not from US Bank but probably someone phishing for info. We never answer the phone unless we know who it is and only if we need to really talk to them. They can leave a message and if we need or want to respond we call back
Since I am a US Bank customer, I answered a call from this number.
The female caller asked, "Is this_____?" , mangling my full name.
When I said, "Who?", the caller hung up.
So, this number is now in the ranks of PERMANENTLY BLOCKED phone numbers!
This number (falsely identified as US Bank) calls me frequently but I never pick up.
Someone called me recently (may have been this number) to offer me to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I'm sure the next question would have been either my name, my address or my social security # so I replied "I haven't paid interest on a credit card for 30 years." That stopped them dead! And they hung up without saying goodbye.
Called at 8pm Tuesday Eve, March 7th. I actually picked it up, I thought maybe somebody was using my credit card, and they hung up on me. Without saying anything. Oh well.
Got a call from this number and I do have an account with US Bank but could think of no reason they would call so waited to see if they would leave a message.They did not and after reading all the other comments I am glad i did not answer.
I got 3 calls from different numbers a couple days ago on the same morning. they were all on the scam list, none left messages. it's so annoying and kind of creepy!
