Robocall, said to hit 1 to hear about reducing my credit card rate. Hit 1, man with a horrible accent (maybe India, more likely Eastern European) says he can get me 6.9% rate on credit card. Claims he has my file in front of him and I owe more than $3,000. He asks what rate I am paying, I tell him 0% on an 18-month promotion. He mumbles something about taking my name off his list. I hang up. Definitely a scam.
The number called my cell phone, which really concerns me. Usually it is just the landline that is plagued by these guys. Anyway, I didn't answer (as I never do an unknown number) and they left no message. Based upon above call notes, will assume that it is credit card scammers. Thanks to all for the info.
