I just received a call from the same number about the same exact thing. He told me he could lower my interest rate on my BOA and USBank credit cards. I told him that's pretty interesting since i just went thru a Chap 7 and currently have no credit cards and have never had a credit card with either bank. He hung up.
I talked to the sheriffs department and they said it is perfectly legal and harmless
for them to call you. Only if you comply and become victim. Even then you are only a victim
if unauthorized charges on your card bother you. These folks are many steps ahead of you , me
and the law. There will be bothersome reports to take and a lot of time lost correcting this.
Don't take this call.
I Just got a call fom the same number....they pressed me for credit card numbers....expiration dates, anything they could get....I told them I didn't have that info on me, and gave them nothing....I also eluded to thinking this was a scam as they could give me no real information on any of my accounts........they hung up on me. So happy I gave them nothing.
Noticed that I had a missed call from this number (201-243-3365) about 20 minutes ago. It showed it was from Bayonne, NJ. I just went to Google and typed in the number and was surprised to find that several people on at least 3 different sites reportedly received calls from this same number. I'm definitely not returning the call and I know what to expect if they call back.
i live in Detroit metro area....some clown having tele # 586-339-6088 called me inquiring on items I had for sale on craigslist.... offered me a ridiculous amount and of course I hung up....not more than a few minutes later I started receiving the spam tele call from the 201-243-3365 # and also received a spam text from 347-974-3072 as well. all 3 are added to my call blocker and sms blocker. the dude on the 1st # originates from new Baltimore mi and sounded like a dammed [***]
