Had a message waiting when I got home from work...."Consumer Services" again. Looks like they have yet another new number to harass people with. Usual spiel about this being my "last chance" to reduce credit card interest rates. Boy, I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard THAT!! And yet they just keep calling......and I keep not answering. Maybe it's time to try the "push 1" button just to see what happens!
Bridget with card holder services - again! For the two thousandth final notice.
Every few days, I block this caller, but they get a new number (or just spoof a number) and I have to add the new number to my call block list.
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to pause or stop the recording and answer questions. When you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA by refusing to provide a phone number or physical address when asked - something that any legitimate business would do, even if it weren't required by law. This is clearly a scam, as they are trying to get your credit card and banking information claiming they are calling from your credit card company and need to lower your interest rates. Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information.
WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
