Yes, this is one of MANY phone numbers WaMu uses (they call from WA, AZ, GA, NV & the list goes on). The part that is odd is that they don't respond when I have had the ability to answer any their calls. All because they will not consider payment arrangements we have attempted to make with them. I am going to just start turning my ringer off.
Interesting - never had an account with WAMU, credit or other. I'll have to answer next time to find out who they are looking for, and find out how they got my cell #.
These damn people have been calling for my roommate's mom. she missed her payment last month and for the past three days, they have been calling and harassing her. The first guy (thick Indian accent) told her she'd have to immediately pay 149 dollars and she repeatedly told him she had NO money right now and was overdrawn anyway and he kept asking when she could pay and tried getting her to pay at least 100 and she finally asked him if HE was going to pay for it because she didn't have a damn dime. Then he told her he was sorry he bothered her. So they call the next day and this one tells her that her minimum payment is okay and asked when she was going to pay it. Now today, she's staying with family for the holidays and they have called 3 times and the first two i told she wasn't here, the third one never spoke and it's a good thing he didn't because he had an earful coming.
Lady with an voice from india, called back this time got hold of senior parent in home. Luckily, I already had the same call today. Saying her credit card was past due wanting bank info and payment. When checked this number it is a home land line. Lady on other end had no proper information.
