call from 201 338 6180--asked if I was the main user on my computer-- yes-- well, the computer has many issues-- I couldn't really understand what they were saying as the voice had a lot of static-- they wanted me to do something to my computer to help me-- I told them that I did not need any help and hung up== they never identified anything at all about me, my computer, my name or anything but they 'knew' that my computer had issues? I googled the number and found that this is definitely a scam!
Yeah, I just received a call from this number 7:00 A.M. this morning! I was pissed! ...but I have caller ID, I never pick-up the phone for numbers I don't know. Thanks for the heads up, but I thought as much. So I guess I'll start getting calls from this number daily... Well at least the calls & messages from the IRS have stopped. LOL
I don't answer calls from strange numbers - fortunately I have caller i.d. and this caller was identified as "ZDGDGEES-SDFWSR" above the number. That was the weirdest one yet.
8:45 am and my phone rings once. (Robo-blocker answers then.) Caller ID was "Out of Area". So, in my case, they're not even bothering with a phony company name. How can they have not been caught in three years?!
