Zdgdees sdfwsr is what my caller ID said. You should have heard it trying to say this! I didn't answer but Googled the number and saw all of the complaints.
Called at 8:20AM. Caller ID listed Zdgdgees Sdfwsr. No one answered when I picked up. Called number back. Answered by individual who denied making call. Said he was in India and it was not possible he had called. Did not have a noticeable accent.
Yes I too received a phone call from this number!! I told her hello I am not stupid and you are not getting into my comp.!!! I then told her good luck with your scam! They told me they were from Microsoft! I then reported them to Microsoft! Hello this is a huge scam because they told me (Microsoft) that they do not call on customers, and that there numbers start with 1-800! this call came from Dumont, NJ. Then I called it back and got a answering machine! Yeah!!! Sick of the scams!
Then don't waste time dealing with them as you did. These crooks may not have broken into your computer, but they know your number has an answer, which they can pass along to other pests for a price. If you've got to take the calls at all, immediately hang up on anyone randomly calling about computers or foreigners in general. You certainly don't want to call mystery numbers back, either. On top of confirming your number is open, you risk perhaps getting a lean charge, or an innocent person.
