Robocall saying I qualify to have debt forgiven due to lender violation of Fair Credit Reporting Act. Obviously scam or phishing because 1. phone on DNC list; 2. came to cell phone not home phone associated with loans; 3. Press 1 to be connected, or press 2 to be removed from list; 4. caller not identified; 5. robocall
call from 201-410-4458 in which no message was left. Glad I did not answer this SCAM call because I would have cussed them out. THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY IS A JOKE BECAISE MANY COMPANIES, I.E., NJ OR CA, DO NOT ABIDE BY THE LAW, THEN AGAIN NEITHER DOES GOVERNMENT. GO FIGURE
If this is your first visit to this website, I apologize. But, if you've ever looked up a number here or elsewhere, I don't. Try reading some of the responses and learn how this works. Check out searches for some other spam numbers, and it won't take you very long to understand that the "Do Not Call List" isn't the problem, because it's only adhered to by "legal telemarketers".
One of the other things I have been able to get out of some of these scammers is that while they are based in the United States, their call center is over the border in Canada or in Mexico. Because the call center isn't 'located' in the United States, they don't have to abide by the do not call list.
