I receive a call many times during the day from 201-465-8180. The last two times they called me (within 30 minutes) it sounded like they were blowing a horn at me and then the very last call someone just kept saying "ummmmm". So annoying. Wish there was some way to block these people. Also, I work late at night and they start calling around 8 am. Any way to block this number? I am on the No Call List.
This call was from a collection agency looking for someone with the same last name as mine. We get so many calls from different collection agencies for this particular person that I am ready to scream. I wish this guy would pay his darn bills so that I won't get any more of these calls. Wishful thinking. These guys are relentless and will keep calling. This has been going on for 5 years now.
Got a call at 6:ooam!!,on landline,caller Id read Oakland NJ, Let it go to message, no message,,just some strange noises,sounded like dog barking or something, then they hung up.Been getting lots of calls like this lately,all kinds of different scams. Isn't it amazing with all of our 'high' technology,nothing seems to be able,(or 'willing') to be done about these creeps? I know we have drones in the areas where they operate,maybe a call center or two just mysteriously blows up!They need to be given a 'message' they'll understand!!
Claimed to be from MICROSOFT and told me I had downloaded a VERY SEVERE VIRUS and he needed FULL REMOTE ACCESS TO MY COMPUTER otherwise I would lose all data, files and programs. Said I was REQUIRED TO ALLOW HIM ACCESS REMOTELY so he could purge my computer of the virus. SCAM SOB ...... hung up when I told him I would call MICROSOFT DIRECTLY.
