I receive a call many times during the day from 201-465-8180. The last two times they called me (within 30 minutes) it sounded like they were blowing a horn at me and then the very last call someone just kept saying "ummmmm". So annoying. Wish there was some way to block these people. Also, I work late at night and they start calling around 8 am. Any way to block this number? I am on the No Call List.
Called asked for raysham. I asked wtf is a raysham ? She then stated this call is recorded and monitored I will remove your number and hung up ... Not sure what company this is but they better not call again
I received a standard robo/recorded call re reducing credit card debt. I connected to a person &
immediately asked to have my phone # removed. I was asked my age, I questioned this. I was told he
needed an age to remove me, I replied with 80 (not correct). He then asked if I was an "old biddy" (I think
that was the word, he had an Indian accent). I questioned him, he said "are you an old lady?" Up until now I was either completely professional, or just slightly irritated. However, I was surprised by this and the caller
then proceeded to call me a *itch along with a string of other expletives at which I repeated that I wanted my number
removed and I hung up.
See this is why I don't understand why people believe these are real debt collectors or telemarketers. They aren't. This jack@ss knew he wasn't going to get anything from you so he insulted u. If it were a real company paying people to sell things or collect money he wouldn't be calling you an old biddy or he would be out of a job. They are almost always Indian-based scammers who hacked or got hold of a bunch of phone numbers, used their Internet connection to get a U.S. phone number and then call people making up all kind of weird stories to get personal info and money. I think the FBI is the only place to report international scammers, but there is absolutely no reason to think this is somebody working for a real collection agency or company. I get this number a lot, but so many others. I feel like my information is spread over half the globe judging from all the calls. It's so frustrating!!
It was our pal Mark Wilson (with a REALLY thick Pakistani accent) from the Windows support center who was kind enough to call and advise me that my computer could be corrupt and therefore compromised. Oh my good fortune in this breakthrough announcement!
Couple of things about our pal Mark:
Mark is unsure how to respond to fart noises when he asks questions
Mark is NOT a fan of the repeater (watch SuperTroopers and you'll appreciate this handy scammer deflecting tactic)
The angrier Mark gets about racial epithets thrown casually in his direction, a more firm redneck accent only accelerates his incoherent ramblings about how horrible we ignorant Americans are.
Sorry Mark, I couldn't hear you through my phone over the sound of how awesome my freedom is and my right to not be bothered by [***] that assume to know me and call me from random numbers feigning support. Go [***] yourself, and if I ever meet you in a life, I'll stop what I'm doing, find a phone cord and choke you out with it. May the flies of a thousand camels live in the cracks of your families' [***] for generations to come!
