I got the charge today of $8.87 on my credit card,my card Co. took it off,also this number did not work 201-4675274 NE thanks for your experences they helped me
I got my credit card bill today and have a charge of $14.50 from this number. It also lists as VandergriftLLC.com on my statement. I have no idea who these people are, but will be contacting my bank in the morning to sort this out.
As a follow up to my original post on 3/2/09, I called the number on the Vandergrift LLC website for clarification of the charge. I got a person who spoke english as a second language and had to ask, several times, for her to repeat herself so I could understand what she was saying. She could not connect me with any sort of supervisor or manager, or direct me to a billing or complaint department. She did inform me that if I gave her my account information and name, she would look into the matter. I immediately called my credit card company and told them of my experience. The credit card company tried to call Vandergrift while the put me on hold to question the charge and were unable to reach anyone. My credit card company is deleting the charge from my account but something smells fishy to me about this company.
I ALSO RECEIVED A CHARGE FROM THIS COMPANY AND CALLED CHASE. THEY INFORMED ME IT WAS A ADVERTISNG COMPANY AND IT WAS A SECURED CHARGE (A SECURED PIN# OR OTHER INDENTIFIER WAS USED which usually mean a valid charge. They referred me to their fraud departmnet which deactivated my account and reissue a new card. i THINK THERE IS SOMETHING FISHY WITH THIS VANDESCAM COMPANY.
