Who called from 2014771842

Number called on my cell. I answered and just heard a lot of people in the background, like they had butt Dialed me or something?? I said hello again but Still no answer, just like a bunch of people in the background, like a college, outside or crowded area? Not sure? Also they called at 8pm EST which I also thought was really weird -_- I hung up after 30 seconds.

This idiot called me and knew my name and I am under age. Freaked me out really bad

I just got one at 9:07, and I'm in high school.

When I answered nobody said anything, just hung up after I repeatedly said hello.
What good is the DNC list when we continue to get these calls?!

The DNC isn't a call blocker and can not protect you from the illegal callers, extortion scammers, foreign country's and frauds. Criminals do not obey laws simply said.    They use spoofed numbers which make it hard to track them down.. it takes time to do this and many subpoenas for call records.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
