Called landline. Left no message. CID displayed FAV. We NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call or number we do not recognize. Too many CRIMINALS trying to victimize whoever answers the phone. If they don't leave a message then the call is not important.
It is not a real person. It is a pre recorded voice and voice recognition software to make it seem real. Keep saying hello every couple seconds and it will start over exactly the same with no vocal variations. A telemarketer monitors your conversations and chooses an appropriate response if the software doesn't do it first. This allows multiple calls to be handled by one scammer so it is much more efficient and therefore profitable.
Yesterday, 2015-10-21) I received my first call from these folks at 8:10 AM. The call woke me but no message was left on my voice mail. When I answered the second call in the afternoon, no one responded to my repeated "Hello". Later in the evening they called again while I was on the line. Once more, no message was left. Today, after picking up the phone again when receiving a call from 201-603-2814 and receiving no response from the caller, I hung up and returned their call. I received a recording stating I could leave a message or dial "Operator" for help. A recording then stated the voice mailbox was full and when I dialed "O", the call disconnected to the dial tone.
In my opinion, no legitimate non-profit operates in this manner and they should be investigated.
Our military veterans need no "help" from people like this whose tactics cast doubt on all supportive, caring organizations working hard to help.
over and over and over they call, one morning just before 8:30 told them stop 3 more calls since....does anyone know if you answer phone do they have to pay? Think maybe better to answer hold phone off hook about 20 seconds then hang up on them, if that runs up their bill maybe they will stop. Just wonder how they are billed for all these calls, maybe we can cost them more than it is worth.
