I got a call from 3241 and they say they are from Microsoft calling to help me fix my computer. When I said that this was suspicious they say No, No, We are working for a company through Microsoft. They wanted me to go into my computer and bring up a website. I told them I had another call coming in and they called back three days later. I had a very hard time understanding them, very thick accents. Sounded like they were from India.
I just got the call too on my cell phone. They left a voicemail saying they can fix all of my credit card debt and lower my APR to 6% if I have debt over $3000.
I do not have ANY credit card debt whatsoever. In fact, I have zero debt with anything. Calling my cell phone is ridiculous. Fail.
"...your credit card accounts. The only requirement is you must owe at least $3000 between all your credit card accounts and have one account in good standing. Press 1 now to speak to a friendly customer services agent."
Clearly the phone bot is busy today! Clearly some kind of debt management agency. I have no idea how they got my cell phone number as it's on the do not call list.
Just received this call on my cell phone. I pressed "1" to get a live person. I asked what company he worked for and he said "Account Cardholder Services". When I asked his name he said "Johnathon" and then hung up on me. Guess he realized I wasn't going to be giving him any information.
