I got a call from 3241 and they say they are from Microsoft calling to help me fix my computer. When I said that this was suspicious they say No, No, We are working for a company through Microsoft. They wanted me to go into my computer and bring up a website. I told them I had another call coming in and they called back three days later. I had a very hard time understanding them, very thick accents. Sounded like they were from India.
THey called me just moments ago... When I got to an actual person, I asked him for the name of his company... he said, "Account Services" -- I then asked for the address for his company and he promptly hung up.
I redialed the number 201-786-3241 and got to a full-voicemail mailbox.
Very frustrating. If we can prove who is making these calls, they could get major Federal fines.
I just contacted the BBB and they are going to investigate it. Gave her all the info i could including this blog. You all might try calling the BBB in your area as well..
