Received 3 calls from this number today. I didn't answer it. Once I had time to get into my settings on my phone I blocked them. From looking at the messages before me, it appears it's a scam. Who has a phone number like that? I found it odd. I'm glad I didn't answer it.
This number keeps coming up on my home phone caller ID. I do not answer it although it has come up while I had my phone off the book or on another call. I still did not click over. How can we put a stop to all these calls? I get up to 10 a day from various companies. I have missed a dental appointment and other things because I didn't recognize the numbers and didn't respond to some of the legitimate numbers.
On Feb 9th,2016 I received a barely intelligible call from someone with a strong Indian accent, who muttered something about the government. I said I only do business by phone if I place the call myself and that I do not want to receive anymore such calls. I also told the person that I knew he was not calling from the government of the United States but from India and that I wanted the calls to stop. As I hung up, the phone rang back and he said, "you [***], you [***]". I said, "really now, how childish" and hung up.
Got this call twice or more.They have an accent. First time, it was a slightly different number. They claimed they were from some government grant thing from Washington and I was randomly selected for a $1000 grant. I did listen to them,( I knew it's fake, but I think I would be fun to listen to what they said lol) they have three option for me. Cash, bank deposit and something else(I could not understand). I chose cash and they said they will send $1000 dollar via western union. Then, they leave me another phone number and need me to confirm with another person. I hung up and never call that number.
The second time, they claimed they are from the government again. I knew it's fake and at the time I was about to hang up. He said " are you sexy" , I was like what and thought I misheard him. I replied "what the fxxk are you saying". He then said "I said are you sexy I want to fxxk you " I was mad and swore to him and hung up.
Same thing with my phone, got a phone call with the 202 area code, they said you can go to Walmart and get the money there and she gave me a bunch of numbers to give to the banker, after that one call Ive been receiving call by that 202 111 1111 and other numbers for continuing my schooling,not interested. They continue to call.......
