just got a call today from 202-202-1234 it came up as dist of columbi. , this guy had an India accent.he wanted me to get on my computer and he was going to walk me through to fix the pc errors . I pissed him off a little bit called him some names until he hung up on me. they call about 2 times a week , These people are scammers. and anyone who falls for it is an idiot.
I received a call from this number today. Like other posts, the person identified himself as a computer technician and said something about my computer sending error messages. I told him that I know nothing about computer and asked him for his phone number so that my husband can call him back. His return phone number was 646-367-0661. His name is Brian.
we usually don't answer when we get unwanted calls, but lately i just pick it up and firmly tell them to remove my name and do NOT call again...I have registered my number with the Nat'l DO NOT CALL Registry, but it doesn't seem to help. When I told them to remove my number, they just hung up!
"David" called me saying something about being from my computer's os company. We are having trouble with our lines anyway, I asked what, he repeated it. I said "Oh! my computer isn't taking calls right now" He asked me to repeat, and I told him again, then didn't hear a thing. I hung up then googled the number. I'm glad I got smart with him, maybe they won't call back. If they do, I'll give him time to tell me about the errors my computer is sending. I'll tell him I'll ground my computer from the web for a week for it. I know I'm a smart alleck, but I can't stand people like this. Play with thier heads folks. They (and unwanted telemarketers) will leave you alone.
