I had one of those clowns calling me today. I was curious, so I answered.... "Hello this is your computer technician". WTF? I've read about this type of calls before. So I told him to f***k himself and that I will kill the cow in his name every time he calls. He hung-up... Wonder why?
Blatant, unoriginal scam. If you give these guys anything more than a derogatory insult, you're a moron. These snake-charmers have a system where they can call from any un-used landline. Today it was 202-202-1234, last time it was 951-something. No legitimate company would ever make calls like this, so have a little fun with the guy and then insult his family. With all scammers and ads through the phone, its always best not to respond at all. When you do respond, they know they have a real-life person and then your number gets sent out to all of India.
This is a scam - please don't give them access to your computer. The person that I talked to was almost impossible to understand and was very persistent. I work in the IT field and told him so, and he still insisted that I had a problem. I told him to remove my number from their list (he asked what number -- duh!!) and that I wasn't giving him access to my computer. He kept going and going and going just like the little Energizer bunny. Please don't fall for this!! I'm concerned about them preying on elderly people who might actually think they're legit. I finally hung up on him. I hope he calls back when my husband is here....hee hee.
