Yeah why would someone have to send money to someone to get money? It's like they think we are that stupid. Just send me a check and I will cash it! Simple as that
Big problems if you deposit the check, if they ever send one. Lot's of people try at the bank where my wife works, and some of the checks fool the bank staff. Once or twice people have spent the money before the system learns it's a phony account. Some of these scammers are pretty good forgers Problems are created when the deposit bounces. And yes, I know you're smarter than that since your "send me the chekc" comment was in jest.
Got the same call today on cell phone. Very thick accent and lots of road noise. Identified self as the US Government. Told them I was not interested & hung up.
I received this call twice...Once from a woman, the other about 5 min ago from some guy who had no idea what he was saying. It sounded like he was reading from a script and had no idea how to speak in English. I practically yelled at him to get him to take me off his list, but he hung up. I am getting sick of these scams to my cell phone. I got rid of the home phone due to the telemarketers calling, and now we're getting D.C. scams! Unreal!!
I got the same call from a man. This is the first such call I have received on my cell phone because I am very careful about giving that number out. I was alarmed and screamed at the man to never call this number again.
