Got the same call today. 4.25.2014. The african sounding gentleman on the phone told me the same thing. We found your name in a database, you were ordering drugs online, it is illegal according to the "RIOT" act.
When I told him I did not know who he was and I could not verify anything he said, he replied with " I will send you information in the mail" and hung up.
DONT EVER, give your information to anyone on the phone who CALLS YOU FIRST... Over the phone scams are easy for them because your information is being sold on the internet constantly, even by companies like Amazon and others.
I got a call from no.202 241-2001, from a Ramon Lara. He said that I was in big trouble and that I might have to appear before a judge. He said that he was from Homeland International Security Affairs. He said that I ordered a drug online, and that I would have to pay a fine. He asked me to go to my bank, and have a cashiers check made out to him for $1500.00. He asked for the name of my bank, and I did not respond. I told him that there are scams out there like this one, and that I would have my lawyer contact him. He hung up.

I also received a message about on going DEA, and I was on the list. When I called back it went to voice mail. The number was 202-241-2001. I have no idea as to what this was about. I guess when he calls again ,no doubt he will ask for money or tell me
I will be arrested. To tell the truth jail sounds like a good option fore.
Just got the same thing. Yes, I was freaked, a little, but I suspected there was an issue. One guy said that there was already a court date, in a week. I called back and was asked if I was a lawyer "just filling in the blanks here sir". When i said I knew the law he asked again if I was a lawyer, I should have said yes. I called back another time just to see what the hell was going on and if I should retain an attorney. This guy said there was no court date (a week? no supoena?). I felt buffalowed but this guy started the con, "we can make it all go away and save your good name for the fine, $1031" I said, you can't fine me, only a court can do that, and he said that I surely wouldn't want to do a purp walk from my house. I was told that there was a package with my address on it with illegal substances in it, but he wouldn't tell me what. I told him it was impossible and that I had never purchased any online drugs.... online.
Got to admit though, all my wife had to do was put in the phone number and up you guys came. Good con though, you have to admit.
