I got the same call on 27th on my landline: I rarely check my landline messages as everyone who wants to talk to me calls my cell. I was checking the VM and this woman: Emily Pearson: sounds like a black lady, with some background noise, said my name, and said they have received a legal complaint in my name for tax fraud and if dont contact her soon, there will be an arrest warrant sent out. Given that its 30th night, I, like one of the guys above, nearly had a heart attack. I checked IRS website and saw the same press release:

Then a friend told me to google the number and here I am. Nasty [***].
I recieved the same call today. The background noise, and woman's voice with acsent told me about
me having the fraud with IRS. She said I have debt $3565 and even gave me the # of case. She insisted they send me mailing request 3 times and verified my address. I was scared to death, but, thank god, my daughter-in-law find this site. I would never gess it could be such scam! Unbelivable!
got the same message today. Idiots. The person who let me a message had an Indian accent. I did called back. There was a women with the Indian accent saying that I own money to IRS. I did not understand the half what she was saying. I freaked out. My husband did check the number and it turned out to be a scam.
