This is a political robo call with very heavy religious undertones. It is Newt Gingrich's wife speaking on how America was founded by people who believe in God and how we need to get back to those times. It asked you to push "1" to speak with someone about a "donation" for a DVD. I have had a lot of political calls lately, but this is the first one asking for a donation.
This call woke me up this a.m.! I called back and it said it was the Republican Coalition and they were requesting donations. Also gave an option to contact them and one to unsubscribe from their call list. Press No. 3, but then you have to give your 10 digit phone no. and wait to press one to confirm they got the correct no.....So, it's not so simple as just pressing "3" and hanging up.
If they want money (which I don't have to spare for them!), they surely need to not call in the early a.m.!!!!!
First time call from this number was Jan. 19, 2015. Unlike many reports of CID showing "Member Alert," mine showed "TPC." That's either The Presidential Coalition (an affiliate of David Bossie's Citizens United) or New Gingrich Tax Policy Center. They may be one in the same. Left no message. I've received numerous calls (150 or more over a two-year period) from both the Presidential Coalition and Gingrich TPC, but I have never answered and only twice was a message left -- both times a pre-recorded message from Newt Gingrich. Would they stop if I answered and told them I'm not interested; they are wasting their time and mine? CID should be "PP" -- Persistent Pests.
