Said they were from Microsoft Windows. Indian or other accent. Said his name was Brad Brown, the supervisor that I talked to. He then proceeded with what the first guy was saying.

I just received a call from 202-407-9179, claiming they were from Microsoft and that I had errors in my operating system. She had an Indian accent. The caller ID was unavailable, but she gave me the phone number to check it out. When I told her that IF she was Microsoft she would know my name, she claimed that they only had the phone numbers of those using MS operating systems. I also told her that IF she was MS her caller ID would say so and that my Microsoft Essentials would catch any error in my system. When I told her she was a scam and was trying to sell me a $279.00 program...click...she hung up.
received same call but the guy said his name was Kevin and wanted me to go to my computer and he would be able to help me fix a Windows malfunction. Hung up and googled his number!
Phone call received 0830hrs 12th Dec 2013 from 2024079179 from a female named 'Sharon' who said she was calling from Windows Technical Dept about a virus on my computer. When asked where she was calling from she said 'Washington'. I said I would verify her contact details and call her back - which obviously I had no intention of doing.
