Yeah they called me and said I was approved for 4500 through some federal grant or something .....looked this number up, saw all the posts about it then asked to talk to their manager, she handed the phone to some guy, and I told them not to call me again, he still tried to say something so I stopped him and said, and I quote, "don't call me again [***], I'm not giving you any money and your not getting my information" he said whaaaaaaaaaaat? And hung up. Glad to say they haven't called back :)
Got a call from this no. today; obviously a foreign sounding voice but I couldn't understand what he was saying because the connection was so bad. Something about I had won $5K; told them I wasn't interested and to put it where the sun don't shine then hung up.
When they called they said that I was approved for a $ 4800.00 grant that I had applied for. I told them I had never applied for any grant, and promptly told them that I knew that this was a scam. They hung up.
Looks like a SCAM to me! I got a laugh out of the comment that said they received money and yet their English writing skills definitely scream, "I'm not from the US." Nice try Skippy!
Receive these calls frequently. Cannot understand them due to the inability to speak English let alone the constant static on the line. How can I get these calls to stop???
