My wife received phone from the same number and was calling again and again even after rejecting it. He told her that is getting Tax refund of 8k and they have it with them and asked for personal information. Please share this information and save all from this SCAM !!
I just received a call from the same number a (202) 436-9948 saying that I have randomly been approved for a government grant of $8,500 from a survey that was randomly given to citizens in my area of town, and the only reason why they chose me was because I had a clean criminal record. This is a total SCAMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! They will give you a claim or grant number to refer with and you will be told to pay an amount of $250 to receive this "free" government grant money. Why would the government just freely "give away" grant money, besides taking our money? Do not fall for this trick, please don't. Spread the word and save the ones who have fallen victim to scam.
Got the same call 2/19/15, knew was scam but looked it up anyway and here it comes s! Funny thing is the guy calling could barely speak English, but it spoke over 40 words per second!
I just got this call after they said I needed to pay $250 security deposit to get my $8500 grant I knew it was a scam the government will never ask you for a money deposit for a grant
