I got a called from "Officer Mark Jones" from the IRS. He said his badge number was A5793. He knew my personal information. He said I have been filing my taxes incorrectly. He asked me some questions about if I have traveled overseas or transferred money overseas. He said a local police officer would be coming to my house and I needed to turn myself in. He put me on "hold" so I was telling my cube neighbor I was being scammed and he all of a sudden was off of hold and heard me and got upset with me. So I hung up. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

His caller ID was "neliarocks"
Called claiming to be "agent Jonathan Knight" from the IRS saying we were several thousands of dollars behind in tax payments. Knowing that our taxes are impeccably done AND were acknowledged this year - we figured this was a scam. The guy was Indian and calling from a DC number. He was belligerent and screaming at my husband to go to the local police station, where he would fax the warrant for his arrest. I began asking him questions about what tax years it was for... and if my husband had any dependents that year as well as what his marital status was and zipcode for that year. I led him in to things saying "oh, he was in zipcode 93309 (California) that year right?" knowing he'd never lived there, etc. I called him out after baiting him and basically ripped him a new a-hole, telling him why he couldn't REALLY be from the IRS. I then invited him to come arrest me himself, since he clearly thought he was IRS, so he must have my address. I
Also, if he calls any of you, please be sure to mess with him. Ask him if he's calling about the 51 dependents you claimed on your taxes last year... tell him you work for the IRS, or tell him you're a tax lawyer. We called back and he's either disconnected the number or blocked the number already.
I just had the same call from Johnathan knight saying it was an urgent matter, that i had commented tax fraud. Called back and no answer. Thank u all for posting here. If i did get him on the line i was going to give him my CPA's number...
