Have now received over 10 calls from this number. Apparently the DO NOT CALL list does not work anymore. I am open to suggestions...getting very tiring.
Between the exemptions and loopholes in the DNC law and the Federal Courts upholding the callers' right to free speech and free commerce, there seems to be very little regard for the average person's right to privacy.
My suggestion (not that it'll be done) is to contact enough politicians so they understand that, between them and the courts, the DNC laws are almost worthless. The pesky 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that says that people have the right to privacy in their own homes doesn't seem to make much difference to them.
You don't know much about democracy in amerika these days so let me try to explain. The crooks in "elected" offices that make "laws" don't give a crap about you. The telemarketing business makes huge campaign contributions and they GET WHAT THEY PAY FOR. Of course, we get what THEY pay for too. So until the people who don't want these calls pay more to the pols than the people who make them, guess what the laws will say, and guess how they will be enforced.
Stop voting for democrats and republicans. Otherwise it's only going to get worse than you can imagine.
