My ordeal all started with a loan from cashnet.com.  I took out the loan and was paying regularly on automatic debt.  I had some amounts changed that were deposited in to my account not knowing this would result in me getting a paper check for one pay period at work, instead of my automatic deposit.  This just so happened to be on the same day the automatic withdrawl for funds happened, since I get paid on Friday the money was not counted as deposited until the following Monday.  Well when the funds were not in that account for the company to withdrawl they started hitting my account over and over again, up to 3 times a day causing that account to be overdrafted.  When the money was in the account the company kept hitting my account to try and retrive the full amount of the loan again causing the account to overdraft to the tune of $1000 in one week.  I talked to my bank and they let me close that account because they felt like the company was over charging my account, but I had to pay every over draft fee to close the account.  I am now getting the harassing phone calls from this company.  They have stated that they are a Sherrif's department trying to arrest me and a court processor trying to serve me court papers.  This company is not only scammers they are operating illegally and it has cost me a great deal of money.  And for all reporting to the FCC, they can not do anything you need to report them to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).

I have been getting the same calls. The person calling has stated that a civil complaint has been filed with my county. I have called them back, and they refuse to notify me in writting of the complaint, or provide me with a mailing address for correspondence. I do not conduct any business over the phone, regardless of who it is, and I do not have too. I have posted below some rules from the consumer rights website. I hope this helps everyone being harassed, bullied, and terrified by these people. Yes, I said "terrified". A call like this to someone like my mother or grandmother would have them emptying their savings and losing sleep out of TERROR of being in trouble. People like this pray on the uninformed and scared people in the world. It doesn't matter if they pay their bills or not, what this company is doing IS harassment, and IS ILLEGAL!!!!
Good luck to everyone out there.

Not so thrilled...
Just got a call from this number looking for my ex-fiance. But after reading your posts, I think I will just toss this message. Thank you, you have saved once again. I wish I saw you guys here before when I got frauded By a company called Shopping Perspectives, Inc. They took me for $4,991.00 and now I am being sued by my own bank, Bank of America. If any of you have anything to say about THAT, please, send me an email:  [email protected]
But make sure you put in the subject line: BofA Fraud
That way I know it is really about that, cause you can never be too careful anymore. Thank you!

I do not know who these people are, the claim I took out a loan in 2006, which I never have. They asked that I call them back at 202-556-2821 at 1pm today, in which I did, But I got no answer, it went to a recorded message saying the number was no longer in service.... Is this number a fraud?!?! Do I need to get stuff settled??

I too have received calls at my job from these idiots. when I asked what bill this is they answered by saying "you know just pay or we will file fraud charges" when I asked who they are and again what this pertains to he replied with " my name is clark and I am a fraud specialist with the U.S. Goverment and it would be in your best interest to pay me or I will be filing charges against you." Really Clark you work for IRG a crooked collection agency and by misrepresenting your self (and yes I have saved the messages) if by chance I do have a bill it will be null and void by your actions so bring it on Twirp! So to anyone who receives calls and they misrepresent themselves keep them because they cancel out the debt.
