Received a call from 202 580 8685 stating that I was under federal investigation for tax evation. I returned the call and a woman answered with and office identification I couldn't understand.The second call went right to a busy signal
SCAM: received two calls within 15 minutes; didn't pick up and guy with British or Nigerian accent left message about a 'lawsuit complication', which doesn't even make sense, under federal investigation, tax evasion, yadayada yada. don't pick up.
Same scam call. Said to work with them so IRS doesn't come and take me away in handcuffs. I asked them to send something official in writing and they babbled. They did call back several times.
I just received a call from this number. They said I was under investigation for Federal Tax evasion and to return the call as soon as possible to discuss the matter. The voice on the phone had an accent and it was difficult for me to understand every word he said. It looks like others have had the same experience. Sounds like a tax evasion scam. They didn't even mention me by name during the phone call.
Scam stating that the IRS has a warrant for my arrest for Tax Evasion. The person had an accent, however, I couldn't recognize from where. This call came into my cell phone.
