They have my direct phone number at work and call multiple times daily. I have answered the call many times and no one will speak. I have decided to answer each time they call and just immediately place the call on hold. It's amazing how much quicker they hang up when they get put on hold! It's annoying but I can't register the business number on the Do Not Call Registry list so it's what I have to do in order to keep smiling through the frustration. Jerks! :-O
I have gotten ten calls from one of these numbers in the last nine days: 202-607-2744, 202-607-2746, 202-607-2806, 202-607-2748. I really don't know what they are, but I'm assuming they are from the same people, because of their similarity. My caller ID says Washington, DC, and since I don't know anyone in DC, I don't answer it. One problem is that calls start early in the morning. I got a call this morning at 6:34 am. Now I'm assuming that's because of the 3 hour time difference (I'm in CA), but even 9:34 am is too early to be calling someone.
These folks just started calling us about 3 times a day. I don't answer numbers that I don't know, so I never answer and they NEVER leave any kind of message. They hang up the second my answering machine kicks on.
THEY NEED TO HAVE THE PHONE COMANY YANK THEIR RIGHT TO USE THE PHONE FOR THEIR DAILY CALLS. WHO DO WE COMPLAIN TO TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN???
IT USED TO BE A LAW WITH PHONE COMPANIES. AFTER THREE COMPLAINTS THEY WROTE LETTER. AFTER FIVE YOU KISSED YOUR PHONE GOOD BYE!
I too have recvd calls from this number. I have not been called outside of business hours, what i can telll u is if you have ur number on the do not call list or you've sent in writting a cease and assis requestt and. They continue to call outside of business hours (before 8 your time and after 8 pm) you can report it to the FCC, they can get upto a 10,000 fine per call made. I used to work for a telecommunication company, such rules r extremely strict by the fcc you can slo tag them on the BBB. So folks we have lots of options :)
