I just received a call August 8, 2013 at 3:33PM. From a guy who can barely speak English telling me he is from the government and I have been awarded an $8,000 grant that can only be used in good faith. That if I don't feel comfortable giving him my bank account information I can give him my credit card information so they can deposit the money into my account. I laughed at him and told him that wouldn't be happening and that I do not want his so called "money". He then hung up on me.
Received call from same number told me had grant money asked what kind of bull [***] this was they hung up caller was a women with strong Indian accent don't give any info it's a scam
Yeah I get 3 to 4 calls a day from this number. Luckily I researched it on this site before I answered it. They called again tonight and told me I have $8,400 in grant money from the government. I told them Iv already researched this number and they are a fraud, and he hung up. No use in reporting it there's nothing the government can do these calls are from overseas they can do as they want and say what they want. And if you block it they will use a different number to call you from. Just ignore them they will eventually stop. If you apply for anything over the Internet your info gets sold to these crooks, that's how they get your info. BEWARE if you apply for anything on the Internet nothing is secure!!!!
