I got a call today from "Officer Andrew with the Internal Revenue Service" from 202-754-9727 in Washington DC. He made claims that the IRS was trying to contact me and gave me an address I lived at several years ago. I told him that I am quite sure that the IRS is fully capable of mailing me the information if this is a legitimate claim since they do have my current address from my taxes. I went on to tell "Officer Andrew" that in Oregon we have laws against telephonic harassment by telemarketers and promptly hung up on him.
I did have trouble understanding him at first from all of the background noise. I know how the IRS treats any audit or back taxes and this is not their style. I'll update if "Officer Andrew" tries to call me again.
I don't know who this is but they're claiming they are from the IRS and a lawsuit has been filed against me. And if I don't return their call or my attorney doesn't return their call, they wish me good luck as this situation unfolds on me....? What? Please stop calling!!!
Have received this exact same number and case number and same Investigator name refused to give me his badge number asked to call the IRS on conference call he refused cussed at me and told me to enjoy jail told him hope he enjoys jail when his scamming a** got caught he laughed and I told him to contact my attorney then he proceeded to tell me we could handle the issue without my attorney i told him have a nice life and hung up and have still have got the same recorded message 2 more times today and now my attorney can't even get through to the number provided and IRS confirmed this scam and said they use 20 or more fake numbers and to just hang up IRS said that they send letters out if they have any questions or issues with you that the best advice they can give is to just hang up on them or not accept their calls period that this scam started in February so good luck everyone
