Like most everyone here, they called my cell, half a ring, then hung up. I don't see why they'd bother to call and not even wait to have someone answer, but I wasn't going to anyway.
Ive gotten a lot of one ring calls from that same number, I have gotten some others with the area code 202 and it's a scam that someone uses to tell you you maybe had a payday loan 10 years ago and that it was a bad check and it was from a place (city) I lived in and I DID use the service of getting a payday loan. But ANYTIME ANYONE CALLS YOU with THIS WASHINGTON D.C. Area code. Beware it is a scam trying to get a large sum of money out of you saying the total plus INTEREST. I've looked up many 202 phone calls on a Google search and saw how many people were saying IF ONLY I HAD GOOGLE-ED THAT PHONE NUMBER BEFORE SENDING THEM MY $1,600.oo. Somewhere down the line, Someone got names and numbers of people from payday loaners and Remember that their is a statue of limitations on things like that. ANY TIME you get a call from a 202 area Code, Just remember that in Washington D.C. , Their are a lot of scams coming out of that area. DON'T GIVE THEM A DIME AND BLOCK YOUR THEIR NUMBER for a selective call rejection. Don't let them upset you in any way. They do that for a living and I can tell you that your phone rings one time when a computer is making calls and your number is real close to the number it was going to call and hook you up with a real mean and natsty man wanting you to pay back the money you owe, WHEN YOU DON'T OWE THEM ANYTHING. This number has called my cell twice, she left a voice message the first time saying I had a $200 rewards card waiting for visiting an assocated web site. Missed the call today (2/7/15). Just blocked it.
