This is Lisa from the original post above. Received a call at 10am EST on May 26th, 2015 from 202-836-8017. Again! Especially bizarre considering I have put this phone number on my rejection/blocked list! I double-checked it and yes, it's on there, so I don't know how it got through to ring me. I did not answer but there was a message, sounded like it could be a fax?? No one said anything just a weird sound. Definitely something fishy since my phone system didn't block it as it should have.
I received a call from this number. A gentleman with a strange background noise began with identifying himself as being from "The United States Chamber of Commerce". I don't believe such an entity exists. I blocked his calls.
At least 8 calls from these [***]. I answered ant someone asked "Can you hear me?" I answered "Yes, barely." He said, "Sorry, I'll call you later." I returned the call 7 times and left a message to remove me from their call list.
Received a phone call from this number Jume 2, 2015 and they didn't leave a message. I called the number back and it said "they (did not identify) were sorry they were unavailable" and then told me to press 2 if I wanted to be removed from their calling list. I pressed 2 and hopefully I won't get anymore calls.
I received a call June 4 @9:26am. I let any unrecognized caller go to my answering machine; they did not leave a message. BTW, Clark Howard says that choosing the option to be removed from their calling list simply legitimizes your phone number - which is probably sold to other spammers. Robo calls are extremely irritating, but since the numbers appearing on our caller ids aren't even valid, there's probably no way to stop them. I'm sick of it!!
