I also got the message regarding the "IRS" issue from 202-864-1240. Thought it was a scam, but glad I checked online to confirm. Thanks to everyone posting about these bogus scam calls. It helps everyone out.
Fake IRS call from 818-843-9427 by recorded message instructing me to call 202-864-1240. I know that knucklehead in the white house is using the IRS against us but this is an obvious scam. They say they are suing me for back taxes and to call immediately. Go ahead and sue me
Just got the same voicemail. Tried calling the number 1-202-864-1240 and it just gets redirected and then a busy tone. Reported to the companies in one of the replies.
These people have called me from (802) 294-2416, (202) 241-6119, (202) 506-9763, (202) 506-8392,(603) 653-9660 at first an Indian man with heavy Indian accent calling himself Officer Kevin Copper from IRS left a message, and recently a voice recording of a woman with American accent calls and says there is a lawsuit against me form IRS. Do not believe a word they say. IRS mails letters, they do not call u.
