Just received a call from officer Melvin. Voice mail said that he was from the IRS. Legal notice for tax evasion to be filed at Federal Court House within 15 minutes of his message if I do not call back. Arrest warrant to be issued. Since I have no tax problems I figured it was a scam. Left no case number. Googled 202-864-1620. SCAM
Saw this scam on the local news, so new immediately what it was...Some woman with thick accent claiming to be from the IRS, said her name is Lisa Issac. Asked for me by name, asked if I had an attorney. If I did not provide his/her phone number she said she was sending the sheriff out to arrest me. I called back and a different woman answered (Jenny, IRS) so I blew a loud whistle into the phone. Pointless, I know, but made me feel a little better getting some kind of revenge. :)
I received a call from 202-864-1627, not -1620. The caller, Fernando Rodriguez, from the IRS tax audit department claimed that there was a petition against me for "captured agent (?), attached fraud" (bad accent). I called back but his mail box is full. Also, he used the word Services, not Service.
This has to be a scam - I got two calls from them last week - called ID'd himself as "Officer Franklin" - got one this morning and the same recorded voice ID'd himself as "Officer -some other name I don't remember). I figure if I called him back his first question would be to ask for my Social Security Number, which is probably all they are after. Dirt Bags
