This company calls me periodically..about six months ago they somehow got my cell number...it's IC Systems connected with Century Link. I had their internet service back in 2005... Over ten years ago...told them I was moving, they told me what I owed them to get current , I paid the bill and told them to shut internet off...I don't know if they did it...but I'm sure from hearing other complaints, that they probably didn't...racked up more debt for Internet at a house I didn't any longer live at...and where I moved, there was no internet service at all other than via satellite. I had moved to a 70,000 acre ranch more than 60 miles from the closest town with a population higher than 100. So, after ten years plus..this F ING company starts calling me..I answered by mistake once but never verified my name and never told them anything they wanted to hear...F them.
If you do not owe any debts, then they apparently have a wrong number. File a complaint with your state Office of Attorney General, Consumer Protection to get the calls stopped. If you're not sure if you owe a debt, check your credit reports to see if a debt appears on there. Make sure you recognize it and it belongs to you. If you find no debts that would result in collection calls, file the complaint with your state Office of Attorney General. www.annualcreditreport.com is the only truly free annual credit report. You can go on there once a year and get copies of all 3 of the national credit reports.
I called the number back as they call at random times more than once a day and never leave a message. It is IC Systems. They answered "IC Systems, may I get the reference number or phone number please?"
