I answered before I checked this website. It was a computer voice that just said "goodbye". I thought it was funny. Now I know not to answer this call.
Thanks to everyone for posting!
Yes this is a scam artist trying to get you credit card number over the phone.
You must call the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION and report them along with the phone number.
The more people report them the more likely they will be shut down!!!!!
They called again today. This time I answered and asked them why they keep calling if this is suppoed to be my final notice. The guy that called said they must have called the wrong number and that he didn't want to listen to me complain called me a [***] and hung up on me! I don't take lightly being called a b by the person trying to steal from me!
This number has been calling me for several days. Late morning I answered this caller only to get their stupid prerecorded spiel and then then I waited to speak to someone. I waited several minutes all the while some inane music played in the background. A synthicized voice cut in every minute or so to tell me that, "All lines are busy. Please wait for the next available operator." I waited for nearly eight minutes and then hung up. Three hours later I get called again. The same thing happened as I waited to actually speak to someone. Four hours late the number clawed led me for the third time. It his time I was actually able to get a telemarketer on the line. The caller said her name was "Bridget." She promptly asks me, "How may I lower your credit?" I asked her what financial institution she was associated with and I got an immediate disconnect!
