I answered before I checked this website. It was a computer voice that just said "goodbye". I thought it was funny. Now I know not to answer this call.
Thanks to everyone for posting!
Called this morning, Saturday, which is rare even for telecriminals. Caller ID says Alabama so must be fake. Must be crooks. I use *78 so robocallers can't leave a message.
WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
The card service scammers WILL 'service' our credit cards, BUT, when they finish 'servicing' them, they will have NO available credit remaining! People that are fooled into having their cards 'serviced' will be charged a MINIMUM of $795.00, and many times the ENTIRE amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey mainly on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can!
When these a-holes call, I tell them I want phone sex. Some of the operators are truly dirty [***] and go along with it.
Another strategy is to agree, but say your wallet is in another room. "i'll be right back"...then wait 5 mins until the tele-criminal starts yelling into the phone. Then of course laugh at him/her.
Or give fake name and fake credit card number...
Fat people, toothless people, inbred, body hair on women, incest, are all good topics to discuss.
They're going to keep calling, so have some sport with them.
I'm proud to say I've made a few cry and many, many get very upset...which is me exerting emotional control over them. Awesome!
