This is not a "crank" call or someone with too much time on there hands. These are very malicious phishing scams, I would advise if you get these calls report it to your service provide and they will normally block the number from there network.
I've just read through some of these posts, and noticed their dates. A year and a half later the same words seem to be coming from the same phone numbers! Thankfully, I just had a voice mail, and didn't have to talk with the scammer. Let's get the word out that these con guys are still going at it, scaring the more vulnerable citizens in our society. If they were getting no good results, they'd have quit already.
We got a very crackly voice mail on the home land line from someone claiming "you are the object of an IRS lawsuit". I phoned the number on the message, got no and got no answer. I googled the phone number 206-201-2799 and got this website. I won't be phoning again. Thank you for helping me to avoid this scam. Should we be prepared for multiple calls like this now that we've received one?
Thanks for this site. I received a robocall on my voicemail from 206-201-2799. Most of the message was cut off by my message because the robot caller started up right away with the spiel. I only got case number and the phone number. If I had heard the whole thing, I would have known off the bat it was a fraud. Glad I didn't call back.
