My wife got the call, "twice" and they indicated it was a "Windows security issue" and said it was "URGENT" and she would "lose everything!"...the guy went my "Eric" but I am guessing his name was Mohammed, and he was not from MSFT. I insisted he tell me the name of the company he was with, and after I refused to believe "Windows tech support" he told me the name of the company was "Technical Support" I asked him again and when he confirmed, I laughed out loud at his dumb a** and asked him to send me an email indicating his company & the purpose of his call (can you believe I am still waiting?!). What a fckn' joke, they are the worst I have ever seen, DO NOT RESPOND to ANY of their requests for data...this is an international "tie line" to India/Pakistan/Asia via Seattle....no connection to MSFT, USA or your operating system...complete BS!
Received a call and the foreign sounding man told me my computer was being hacked and sending spam to their server. I asked who he worked for and he said G.M.I.I.P. I asked for a phone number and he gave 206-424-8913. He asked if I was at my computer and I said yes then asked him what company that was and he hung up. I "googled" the number and found this site.

My wife has gotten a couple of calls from this number in the last few days from a 'John Smith' who has a heavy middle eastern or Indian accent. Same deal, turn your computer on so I can access it.
These guys are incredible! My Pakistani's name was Paul Richards. They must think we're idiots! The last time these same jokers called they said they were with Microsoft! Do not respond to anything they ask for.
